Kool G4 Kool G4. I suspect when booting natively in OS9, your device software is compatible with the OS9 scsi card extension and all is well. Did this solve your problem? It supports scanning up. Came a message ‘installation was not necessary’. Kool G4 Kool G4. But they also say that XP dirvers “may” work. Sorry, I think your theory is wrong adaptfc that the Adaptec scsi card only allows for the use of attached scsi devices, it will not provide any connectivity software, only lets you connect your scsi device.

Dec 12, 1: Definitely NOT for the faint of heart, though. Epson says to contact Adaptec, and Adaptec says adaptef since it was an OEM card produced for Epson, they don’t offer any support. A PRAM zap might solve the problem.
Thank you, Joe Hunter. I have not been able to detect any SCSI devices yet.
They did say that driver for other cards in the x series which use the same chipset “may” work, but they are only for bit systems. I use one of these cards with OSX which includes many drivers. I hate toi lose a very good scanner just adapec I had to update to Vista.
